Our original Proprietor, (Jack Angel) brought to Australia the knowledge and skills obtained whist manufacturing “ Precast Concrete Floating Harbours” used during the World War II Normandy Invasion.
The Company was initially set up to manufacture concrete fence posts for the rural sector, but soon diversified into all facets of the Precast Concrete Industry.
Today, under the present ownership of the Smith Family since 1973, Bettacrete Precast Pty Ltd has become the manufacturer with the largest range of Precast Concrete Products in South Australia.
Bettacrete Precast Pty Ltd currently uses four Electromagnetic Variable Frequency Vibrating tables on it’s production lines, which enable the water cement ratio to be kept to a minimum, thus increasing the compressive strength of the concrete.
We have 10 one tonne overhead cranes and 1 six tonne Covered Gantry Crane and approximately 30 employees.
The company carries a full range of “Off The Shelf” products as can be seen on the attached Product Brochures, as well as manufacturing “Specialised Once-off” products made to order.
Recent projects undertaken by Bettacrete Precast Pty Ltd include, the manufacture of replacement Revetment Support Slabs for West Lakes (Engineered to last a minimum of 80 years under water), all Fire Stairs for the Holdfast Shores Project, and the Paving Flagstones for Adelaide City Council.
We have manufactured products from the smallest counterweight of 3kg up to 20 tonne pollution control pits.
